Samsung S24: Good news for social media enthusiasts! Samsung’s latest Galaxy S24 lineup now supports full camera quality on Instagram and Snapchat, putting an end to the era of downgraded picture quality in your social media posts.
Samsung recently launched its Galaxy S24 series, boasting upgraded cameras and cutting-edge AI photo-editing features. But what’s the point of having superior picture quality if it gets compromised when you share them online? Well, Samsung has addressed this issue through a new collaboration with Snapchat and Instagram.
During the Unpacked 2024 event, Samsung announced a partnership with Instagram and Snapchat. This collaboration ensures that the high-quality photos and videos captured on the Galaxy S24 remain intact when using the in-app cameras.
This implies that the native camera experiences of the Samsung Galaxy S24, such as nightography, Super HDR, and video stabilization, will be accessible when taking a photo or recording a video using Instagram’s or Snapchat’s cameras. This enhancement significantly improves the quality of your posts.
Before this upgrade, these social media apps would merely render a screenshot of the camera viewfinder, resulting in the loss of all the actual processing that occurs when you capture a photo, thereby downgrading the photo’s quality.
In addition to this, Samsung has also collaborated with Instagram to enhance the editing, uploading, and viewing experiences for users on Instagram while using the new Galaxy phones.
Samsung revealed during its presentation that users can now create stories from their motion photos. Moreover, every photo or video taken or viewed on the Galaxy S24 phones will be displayed in its full range of color and contrast, thanks to the support for Super HDR.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be the first-ever smartphone cameras to support HDR-enabled photos on Instagram.
Samsung’s ultimate aim is to enable everyone to create professional-quality social media content without the need for additional equipment.
